Mission Statement

Abbey Mae
On July 27th 2003 our little girl Abbey Mae died tragically in a home swimming pool accident.  Abbey Mae was only on this earth for 2 years 10 months but she touched the hearts of many.  It is in her honor that we have decided to start ‘The Abbey Project’.  It has been through service projects that we have been able to keep her memory alive.  In the past we have relied on donations from friends and family.  Now we are hoping that through the sales of our handmade crocheted hats that we will be able to take the project to the next level.  Abbey had a way of brightening a room with her smile and had a gift of compassion that not many two year olds possess. I am grateful that God blessed me with such a child and even though I don't understand why she had to leave so soon I do know that God had a purpose for Abbey in life and in death. She taught me; the power of forgiveness, the reason for love and the hope in forever with Jesus. I was proud to be Abbey's mom and would do it all over again even knowing the pain that would go with it. We don't have any control over how much time we have but we do have control over how we use it!! Abbey used it to the fullest and I hope that's what I am doing.
